Applications

If an application is declined.

A decline means that application did not result in an offer. It is a reason to review the information and your budget before trying again.

Ask for an explanation

Contact the lender through the official channel and ask what explanation can be provided. If inaccurate information may have influenced the decision, ask how to correct or dispute it. Do not pay someone who promises to erase accurate credit history.

Look at affordability, not just approval

Submitting repeated applications does not solve an underlying budget shortfall. Recheck your essentials, current commitments and the purpose of the borrowing. If several repayments are becoming difficult, consider a registered debt counsellor.

A previous paid loan or a loyalty benefit would not guarantee a new ClearRand offer.
