Responsible borrowing

A repayment should leave room for life.

Rent, food, transport and existing commitments come before a new loan. Approval should never be the only question.

Check the fit

Ask whether the expense is necessary now, whether there is a lower-cost alternative and whether each repayment leaves enough for essentials. Borrowing again to cover regular repayments can make a difficult position worse.

A proper assessment every time

A future ClearRand application would require identity, credit and affordability checks. Neither repeat-customer status nor the Together benefit replaces them. Final procedures must be approved before applications open.

The National Credit Act provides the framework for responsible credit granting and consumer information. A calculator cannot perform that assessment.

When circumstances change

Talk to your creditor early if income falls or an unexpected cost affects a payment. Ask about available arrangements and get any agreement in writing. Support should not depend on taking another loan.
