What to ask for
Request a document identifying the creditor, the relevant agreement and the confirmed closure or paid-up status. Check your name, the agreement reference and the date. Keep the letter with your payment records.
If the balance or record looks wrong
Provide the creditor with payment references through its secure channel and ask for reconciliation. A paid-up letter does not guarantee that every credit bureau record has already updated. If the record remains inaccurate, follow the creditor’s and bureau’s dispute processes.
This website cannot issue a paid-up letter or look up an account.
